sup guys.
not a bad weekend at all. after friday's bathroom failure (if someone reading this didn't know what I was talking about, that would sound weird), roommate and I set out to get our dad's some father's day gifts. however, my dad's birthday is june 21st, which just so happens to be the date of father's day this year. so I also bought some cake mix because my family is coming up for the weekend. I also bought a skirt for $5.99. holla. yeah, so roommate and I bought things for our dad's, but did some shopping for ourselves as well. later, we went back to her apartment and us and roommate's sister, ashley, watched transformers. I am so psyched for transformers 2. ahahaha. roommate and I just love the first one. so funny, yet epic. I don't think sister liked it as much. but she got a break from the movie when their other roommate called and said a tornado had apparently touched down in norman. that was fun. except it the storm was basically like, "just kidding!" because nothing happened.
saturday, I was awoken at 10 a.m. by justin, who, after giving me a speech about laziness and then promising me he would guy me breakfast from mcdonald's, coaxed me out of bed. after we had breakfast, I helped him move into his apartment and clean it until 3 p.m. when I had to leave, shower, and get to the office to let some people in--some OU alumni who were editors and reporters for our school newspaper were in town and wanted to see what the newsroom and the features office were like now. it was so cute because they were all so excited and were so grateful that I was able to let them in the office. it made me happy to know I just made all of them happy. really, it was almost ridiculous how excited, happy, and grateful they were. ahaha. after lounging around at home for a bit, zack came over because the power went out at his house. he brought over how I met your mother and stuff to make tacos, so I didn't mind. =) and I promptly ate three tacos. ironically, not long after, roommate called because her AC went out...so she came over and went into my room to do reading for her online class. la la la. so saturday night was just some more TV show and movie watching.
sunday, best friend came to norman for a bit. yay! justin, alyssa, and I went to coach's for dinner. we got fried cheese (mozzarella sticks) and cheese fries. ahahahaha. but oh man, I love those two. it was quite a blast. we need to start making a quotebook because when justin and I get together we get some pretty interesting sayings and what not going. and then after dinner, alyssa and I headed off to the train depot to hear some jazz! her boyfriend plays the string bass in a jazz group. it was really good. and the venue is kind of cool because it's in a part of the train station, so trains went by every once and awhile and I don't know...I thought it added to it. but it was really good, very enjoyable. sara brought her family and that was cute. and there was this older guy who sang to us a bit during intermission? ahahaha. oh, and there was cheese! omg, I love cheese. yeahhhh. and now sisterhood of the traveling pants 2 is on HBO. AGAIN. but I just keep watching it. I really like the word pants.
